BREAKING NEWS: PM Announces Students Tested Positive for Covid-19 Will Be Allowed to Take High School Diploma Exam

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has announced that students who have tested positive for Covid-19 will still be able to take the high school diploma exam, but directly from Covid-19 treatment centers which require the presence of an official invigilator.

This announcement was made by the Prime Minister during his speech at the handover ceremony of Pfizer BioNTech Covid-19 vaccines from the Government of Australia on Sunday night at Phnom Penh International Airport.

During his speech, the Prime Minister also announced that Cambodia has found 15 new imported cases of the Omicron variant, meaning the Kingdom has now recorded a total of 31 Omicron cases, all of which are imported.

He urged all Cambodians to not panic since the Omicron variant has so far shown to be less deadly than previous variants, but to still remain vigilant and continue participating in the fight against Covid-19 by actively implementing the ‘3 Do’s and 3 Don’ts’ policy.
